Preston Love
Omaha native and jazz musician
Love was interviewed in January of 2003. He died of cancer in February of 2004. Preston wrote an autobiography in 1997, A Thousand Honey Creeks Later: My Life in Music from Basie to Motown -- and Beyond, on Wesleyan University Press.
A 2003 CD titled Preston Love, produced by Gary Foster, provides an overview of Love's recordings from the Basie days to recent works.
