Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education or (SARE) is a part of the USDA's Cooperative State Research, Education, and Extension Service. SARE is a granting organization that tries to promote environmentally friendly agriculture and help small farmers become more profitable. Having profitable small farms is an important key to revitalizing rural communities. This week on Consider This..., host Andrea McMaster interviews Joan Benjamin, a SARE grant program manager. SheÕll also talk with two Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) farmers.
